Recovery Community Centers
Recovery Community Centers (RCCs) provide a peer-based supportive community that builds hope and supports healthy behaviors for individuals with OUD no matter what phase of use or recovery they may be in. These RCCs do not provide treatment per se, they provide compassion and support — and help connect people with treatment if that is what they want.
Staff at UMSL-MIMH put together an infographic highlighting some of the work the Recovery Community Centers have been doing across the state of Missouri as well as the expansion of behavioral healthcare access in adding four new Recovery Community Centers funded through the Division of Behavioral Health substance use block grant.
For more questions about RCC’s in Missouiri, contact Lindsey Kon (lindsey.kon@mimh.edu) or Aaron Ruiz (aaron.ruiz@mimh.edu).
